I am an Australian artist working with cloth and camera. I became drawn to the world of making through a love of detailed, slow burning process and a longing for the hours of solitude and research this type of work brings. My work currently focuses on a love of photographing while walking, particularly the subtle, profound and unspeakable beauty to be found when walking in forests, of vernacular architecture and the littoral. These concepts are translated through a range of processes that all involve working by hand, often in a very detailed manner, and cross the boundaries between my photographic work and my work as a weaver of hand-woven cloth. I credit a long family history of making for giving me a love of the detailed processes for which I am known.
